Those of us who are lucky enough to be owned by a Great Dane know what the love of a 150 lb. lap dog is really all about. Beyond getting squeezed fort-nightly out of our own beds, acccepting drool on anything within a mile radius of the water bowl (or the toilet,) having extra high kitchen counters and sacrificing our car interiors, our fanciest duds and almost all of our favorite shoes...Being loved by a Great Dane is an all-too brief look into the rare heart of quirky and unconditional love. It is in the name of this love and the joys and frustrations that accompany it, that I have embarked upon a photographic exploration of Great Danes around the world.
