The Dane: great & greater

Since the moment I brought Olivia home I have been moderately obsessed with Great Danes. Like most breeds, there are so many universal quirks that Dane's all share, that one can't help but feel like loving one Dane, means loving them all.

The fairly obvious difference between Great Danes and all those other breeds however, is their size. Everything about them is bigger and we aren't just talking their inseam or their appetite... from their bark to their nose-print, their "spot on the couch" to yes, even their poo, Danes are just giants...

But the secret is: They have no idea how huge they really are. Ever seen a Great Dane bow to a terrier? Ever seen a Dane enthusiastically attempt to dive under furniture that was clearly far too petite for them to fit under? Ever seen an over-sized Dane rear back into their owners under-sized lap? You get the idea: Huge hearts, small brains, and nothing but love, comedy and optimism in between.
